WHAT IS THE FLEXIBLE TAKEOFF ?

The reduced takeoff thrust as compared to the maximum permissible weight ( MPTW )  .

In many cases the aircraft takeoff with a weight less than the maximum permissible takeoff weight . which cover  the obstacle clearance performance  ( second segment  and runways ) . with this decrease of the thrust that is adapted to the weight this is called ( flexible takeoff ) . the thrust is called ( flexible takeoff thrust) . this thrust is one of the best ways to save the engine life .

The pilot can use the flexible takeoff when the actual weight of the aircraft is less than the maximum permissible takeoff weight ( MPTW) for the actual day temperature  .

note : the maximum permissible weight are varies with temperature  . the pilot can assume a temperature for the actual takeoff weight to be the limiting one . this temperature called ( FLEXIBLE TEMPERATURE ) .
