LOSS OF CONTROL IN GA

Defintion : its a result of significant ,unintended departure of the aircaft from controlled flight ,the operational flight envelope , or normal flight attitudes .

Loss of control is the most fatal GA accidents why? some commercial and private pilots may have grown complacent about dangers, or lack proficiency or understanding in aircraft operations at the the corner of the flight envelope.

LOC accidents most often happen during ( Maneuvering flight ) .

Maneuvering flight is loosely defined ,but usually includes any situation where a pilot is using the aircrafts flight controls to perform maneuvers not necessary for straight and level flight close to the ground .

Loc accidents commonly happen when it comes with this kind of maneuvering flights:

1-turning base to final any time theres more than 1G on the aircraft , the wing will stall at a higher airspeed .

2- stall /spins

3-Too low altitudes associated with base-to-final turn , its difficult or impossibel to recover from a stall .

4- Too Fast , due to this combination of wind direction and speed created a situation where ground speed was significantly higher than airspeed for the turn from base to final . In addition to increasing the likelihood of an overshoot , the higher ground speed would have required either a large turn radius than normal or an increase angle of bank .
