there are a two measurment scales for the temperature :

Celsius scale “(c)

the temperature between the boiling point and the freezing point of the water , divided into 100 degrees scale . ( boiliong point is 100 c and the frezzing point is 0 c )

Fahernheit scale “(F)

based on water boiling point at 212 F and Freezing point at 32 F .

Convertion formulas :

F = 9/5 (*C+32) C = 5/9 ( *F -32 )

What is the OAT /SAT and TAT ?

OAT : Is the ambient outside air temperature, it could be measuret at C or F .

SAT : its a different name for the outside air temperature , which is ambient static air temperature .

TAT : Total air temperature, its a product of static air temperature (SAT) and the compression rise in the temperature experienced on the temperature probe = ( heating error ).

therefore the TAT is alwayes higher than OAT due to the heating error
